System Support Analyst, Jan 2020 – Nov 2023
Capitec Bank, Technopark, Stellenbosch
  • Worked as part of the team that implemented remote on-boarding for Business Bank; created new card programs for remote on-boarding using the Postilion system; performed full end to end testing; create new reports between the team and front-end to ensure data integrity was maintained
  • Implementation and testing of new products which included the purchasing of lotto tickets, vouchers and license disks from the Capitec app
  • Migrated 1.2 million existing clients from Mercantile Bank after it was purchased by Capitec, allowing systems to be consolidating systems and reducing overhead
  • Developed and executed complex SQL queries to extract data and create reports providing critical insights to stakeholders and maintaining the data integrity between multiple systems
  • Analysed existing data in the system using SQL to identify duplicate data, find missing data and identify data that was incorrectly linked according to our data structure
  • Built dashboards with the Splunk software allowing data to be viewed and monitored
  • Created a custom file management script for the deletion, transfer and archiving of all files on the system, saving time for the entire team
  • Set up and managed different Postilion Office and Realtime processes to manage the 20 million transactions done by clients daily
